Major renovations are being done to some of Iowa’s most popular state parks resulting in some 2018 Iowa State Park closures. The end result will be more electrical sites and various upgrades to facilities and grounds. These parks see large numbers of visitors each year and deserve the extra attention. Lacey Keosauqua State Park — Van Buren County
The campground will be closed for a renovation from April 1, 2018 through October 31, 2018.
The park is open for hiking and boating. The shelters are open as well.

Ledges State Park — Boone County
The Canyon Drive closed to vehicle traffic while a construction project is underway to repair roadway damages. It is expected to be re-opened by July 4th barring any setbacks.
The campground is currently closed for a renovation. It will remain closed through most, if not all of 2018.
The park is open for hiking and the shelters are open as well.

Maquoketa Caves State Park — Jackson County
All of Maquoketa Caves State Park is closed from February 5 through August 30, 2018 due to road construction along with an electrical upgrade to campground.
